Vanessa was born in San Antonio but raised in Laredo, Texas. She grew up speaking both English and Spanish and was active in various organizations such as L.U.L.A.C. (League of United Latin American Citizens) and the Laredo Musical Theater International. Vanessa is currently a student at Texas State University completing her bachelor's degree in Mass Communication emphasizing on public relations and minoring in business.
